OBJECTIVES

- The feasibility study that takes into account the local context, the current regulations, the
network variety and the global organisation. - The 3 live work methods
• work with a three-meter insulating pole
• work on the conductors with a pair of insulating gloves
• work directly on the conductors - The main projects that can be carried out in medium-voltage live work : opening and
closing of circuits, repairs on the conductors, replacement of isolators, posts… - the procedures for the employment of the teams and the technical-economic
calculation : a calculation including the costs and the quality of service which can do a
comparison between the three possible solutions : the power cuts of the clients, the live work and
the setting up of the way of power supply. - the security management and the monitoring of the agents’ competence: current
regulations, risk management, training course, monitoring of the competence and safety action
plan. - New technologies ; study for working with live work robots : the agents remain on the ground and remotely control robots that do the work
